What it costs
These fees come from Taylor & Martin's 2026 auction terms, with older FAQ figures labeled.
| What | Cost |
|---|---|
| Buyer premium (2026 terms) | 6.5% of the winning bid per lot |
| Buyer premium (FAQ, older) | 5% standard. Some dispersal and bankruptcy sales charge more, as announced |
| Deposit | $5,000 to bid, applied to purchases or refunded |
| Card fee | 3% on amounts paid by card |
| Storage, days 11 to 20 | $10 per item per day |
| Storage, day 21 on | $30 per item per day |
| Relocation | Buyer pays relocation and transport if moved after 10 days |
| Expedited title | Small fee, on request |
| Sales tax | Added unless you give exemption forms. Not collected from out-of-state buyers |
A worked example: a sleeper truck that sells for $40,000 carries a $2,600 premium, so it costs $42,600 before any tax. The $5,000 deposit counts toward that total.
