About BidSpotter

BidSpotter is part of Auction Technology Group, a London-based company that runs several online bidding sites. Its U.S. site carries sales from hundreds of independent auctioneers. BidSpotter hosts the bidding, while each auctioneer runs the sale, takes payment and handles pickup.

Sales are either live webcasts, where online bidders join a live auction, or timed online sales that close lot by lot. Each catalogue has an Important Information page with the buyer premium, any internet surcharge, payment terms and removal dates. Card deposits or holds, when asked for, are set and held by the auctioneer.
