About Whatnot
Grant LaFontaine and Logan Head founded Whatnot in 2019, starting with Funko Pops and trading cards. It has grown into a live shopping app in the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, Australia and Japan. Many independent sellers run shows, and Whatnot handles payment, shipping labels and buyer protection.
Most sales are fast live auctions that last seconds, plus card breaks and fixed-price Buy It Now listings. Buyers watch a seller's stream, bid in the app and pay with a saved method. Wins from one show can be bundled onto one shipping label.
