About Goldin
Ken Goldin started the company in 2012 after years in the collectibles business. It was bought by Collectors, the parent of PSA, and then became part of eBay in 2024 in an agreement that also moved eBay's vault to PSA. Goldin still runs its own site and app. It sells cards, sealed wax, game-used gear, autographs and pop culture pieces, with some lots reaching seven figures.
Goldin runs two main auction formats. The Weekly Auction starts lots at $10, runs about nine days and closes on Thursday nights at 10 p.m. Eastern. Elite Auctions are for rarer items, start bids at $500 or more and have their own dates. A fixed-price marketplace sits alongside the auctions, and the same 22% buyer's premium applies to both.

What it costs
Goldin's buyer's premium is published on its site; payment and shipping figures below come from buyer reports where noted.
| What | Cost |
|---|---|
| Buyer's premium (2026) | 22% of the hammer price, Weekly and Elite |
| Minimum premium | $19 per lot |
| Marketplace purchases | Same 22% premium, $19 minimum |
| Card payment surcharge (2023 reports) | About 3% more, so 25% in total |
| Late payment (2023 reports) | 3% fee if not paid within about 6 days of close |
| Shipping and insurance (2023 reports) | About 0.9% of the price plus $19 |
| Crypto payments (2021 terms) | 0.5% fee |
| Pickup | No packing or shipping charge; sales tax still applies |
| Sales tax | Added based on the ship-to state |
A $1,000 card costs $1,220 with the 22% premium. A $50 card hits the $19 minimum, so it costs $69 before shipping and tax.
Paying, pickup and storage
| When to pay | Invoices are due within days of the close. A 3% late fee was reported after about 6 days in 2023. |
| Payment | Wire, check and crypto have been accepted. Cards carried about 3% extra in 2023, and PayPal has not been taken. |
| Shipping | Most items go by FedEx with tracking and a signature. Insurance is billed with shipping. |
| Vault | Wins can be sent to the PSA Vault address at checkout. PSA lists free storage, a $1.99 per item withdrawal after 90 days or $4.99 before, and $5.99 per US shipment. |
| Sales tax | Charged by ship-to state. Items shipped straight into the Delaware vault have avoided sales tax. |
