About Hake's Auctions
Ted Hake founded the company in 1967 and it calls itself one of the first collectibles auction houses in the US. It is based in York, Pennsylvania. It has sold comic books, toy prototypes, movie posters, political items and sports memorabilia.
Hake's holds large online auctions about every two months, often with 2,000 to 3,000 lots each. Sales run for weeks and close over set days. Invoices go out by email by the Monday after the close. Layaway is offered on invoices of $5,000 or more.

A $1,000 comic costs $1,200 with the premium. Paid by card, 3% adds $36 for $1,236 before postage, insurance and tax.
