About Classical Numismatic Group
CNG held its first auction in 1987. It has offices in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and London, with a further office in The Hague. It is one of the main U.S. houses for ancient coins. Its Triton sale each January in New York is one of the larger ancient coin auctions of the year.
CNG runs several kinds of sales. Triton is a printed public auction held in January alongside the New York International Numismatic Convention. Feature auctions are printed catalog sales that close online. Electronic auctions run online for about two weeks and close on Wednesdays, and there are also Keystone and numismatic literature sales. Bidding runs on auctions.cngcoins.com and partner platforms.
