Zeus Auction (SRI)
Zeus, also called ZAP, is the online auction site of SRI, a local-government vendor that has provided government auction services since 1989 and has run online auctions since 2004. Counties use it for tax sales, commissioner certificate and deed sales, and foreclosure sales, in states including Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana and Michigan.
How buying works
- Register for each sale: every auction has its own seller, rules and forms, so bidders register separately for each one they want to join.
- No Zeus registration fee, though an individual auction may charge one; its registration information says so.
- Payment goes to the seller, not Zeus. Each auction sets its own payment terms, and a wire transfer to the county's bank is typically preferred.
