Superior Livestock Auction
Superior Livestock Auction sells cattle, including feeder, purebred and seedstock cattle, along with horses. Its auctions are broadcast by livestream with online bidding, and its Country Page offers cattle at an asking price between auctions. Most cattle are sold on a Livestock Forward Contract for delivery at a later date. The company lists locations in Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma and Idaho.
How buying works
- Buyer Number required: buyers must be pre-registered, by phone, and hold a Buyer Number before bidding.
- Part payment: lots with a delivery window starting more than 10 days after the sale require $40 per head, due at the end of the auction.
- Final payment is due on delivery, by wire, ACH or overnight check.
- Transport is arranged by the buyer, who must send enough trucks for the contracted cattle and meet the destination state's health requirements.
Good to know
- Cattle are weighed on a certified scale and priced from a base weight using a price slide.
- Country Page bids below the asking price go to the consignor before they take effect.
