How buying works
- Ways to bid: in person, live over the internet, or by online, mail, fax, email or phone absentee bid. Live phone bidding is generally for items over $5,000.
- Buyer's premium: 19% for internet, absentee and phone bids (16% paying by check or cash); in-house bidders pay a lower rate.
- Payment is due within one week of the auction, by check, money order or card; unpaid items may be relisted. Indiana and Pennsylvania residents pay sales tax.
- Shipping goes by UPS to a street address, with packing and insurance included in the charge; delivery takes about 2 to 4 weeks.
Good to know
- Items are graded on the TCA scale by appearance only and are not tested for running. Lower-graded and as-is items cannot be returned.
