How buying works

• Who can bid: bidders must be at least 21, and may be asked for proof of age.
• Buyer's premium: 23% of the hammer price, with a $10 minimum per lot. Applicable sales tax is added unless the buyer has a valid resale certificate.
• Credit: bidders without established credit must give credit references or deposit at least 25% of their total bids.
• Payment: due on notification and delinquent after 14 days. Internet bidders can pay by card only if their total for the sale is $10,000 or less.
• Pickup and shipping: the buyer arranges pickup, delivery or paid storage within 14 days; Spectrum does not pack or ship lots itself.
