Sierra Auction Management
Sierra Auction Management, established in 1986, is an Arizona auction and appraisal company with yards in Phoenix and Tucson. It sells vehicles, heavy and construction equipment and surplus assets for more than 150 government agencies, as well as companies, bankruptcy trustees, lenders and charities. It is the sole auction outlet for seized vehicles from the Arizona Attorney General, Department of Public Safety, Counter Narcotics Alliance and Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
How buying works
- Auctions are public and all bidding is online. Bidders must be 18 or older with a valid state ID, and a registration deposit is charged to a card for each auction.
- Buyer's premiums vary by sale type (for example 17% on standard surplus), and admin fees apply.
- Payment is by card (3% surcharge), bank deposit, wire or PayPal; checks are not accepted. Arizona sales tax applies unless exemption paperwork is on file.
- Lots must be paid for and picked up by the due date to avoid daily storage fees. Everything is sold as is, where is.
Good to know
- Previews are typically held the Friday before bidding closes.
- City of Phoenix and Tempe employees may not bid on their city's assets.
