Sedwick Coins

Sedwick Coins (Sedwick & Associates) is a Winter Park, Florida, auction house known for its Treasure, World Coin and Paper Money auctions. Each sale is split into sessions covering gold and silver cobs, shipwreck coins and ingots, shipwreck artifacts and coin jewelry, colonial cobs from mints such as Mexico, Lima and Potosí, ancient and world coins, medals, U.S. coins and world paper money. A final online-only Express session closes out each sale.

How buying works

• Approval: bidders create an account and must be approved to bid; the auctioneer may approve or deny any bidder, though most approvals are automatic.
• Ways to bid: absentee bids placed online before the sale, or live online bidding in real time on auction day, with a stream from the floor when available.
• Buyer's premium is added to each lot, along with applicable taxes and agreed shipping costs.
• After the sale: won lots are confirmed by the auctioneer, and buyers then arrange payment and shipping or pickup.
