Rock Island Auction
Rock Island Auction Company sells collectible firearms at auction. Its Premier Auctions are held in person at its venue in Bedford, Texas, and its production facility is in Rock Island, Illinois. RIAC On Time is a separate format of timed online auctions that usually run about two weeks with no in-person event.
How buying works
- Account: a web account is required to bid. Anyone with an account can bid, including bidders outside the U.S., who are told to check their local firearms rules.
- Ways to bid at Premier Auctions: in person (bring a driver's license and a major credit card), RIAC Live online streaming, phone, or absentee. Proxibid and Invaluable also carry the sales but charge their own fees.
- Buyer's premium: 17.5% at Premier Auctions, plus 1% for wins through RIAC Live; 18.5% for RIAC On Time. Paying by credit card adds 3.5%, and sales tax and shipping may apply.
- Shipping: antique arms and non-firearms can often ship directly. Modern, curio and relic or NFA firearms depend on the buyer's location, licenses and the item's ATF classification. Purchases usually ship 2 to 3 weeks after payment.
