Revere Auctions

Revere Auctions is a full-service auction house in Saint Paul, Minnesota, handling estates, corporate and museum collections and single items. Its departments include fine, modern and contemporary, Asian and Native American art, photography, jewelry and watches, handbags, furnishings and decorative art, midcentury design, books and manuscripts, coins and currency, and sports memorabilia. Live and online sales are held every few weeks, and every sale can be bid online from anywhere.

How buying works

• Registration: free, online or by phone; every bidder is approved by hand, so bidding may not open right away. Bids can be placed online, by phone or as absentee bids.
• Buyer's premium: 25% when bidding on Revere's own website, by phone or absentee; 30% on third-party platforms, plus sales tax.
• Payment: cards (with a 3% fee, not for orders over $5,000 or for jewelry, gold and sterling), wire, ACH, cashier's check or cash.
• Pickup and shipping: lots are sold as is and must be collected within 30 days, after which storage fees apply. Some items can be shipped through Revere's shipping partner; otherwise the buyer arranges a third-party shipper.
