Propstore
Propstore sells entertainment memorabilia: film and television props and costumes, posters, music memorabilia, animation art, autographs and sports items. It runs auctions from offices in London, priced in pounds, and Los Angeles, priced in dollars, and also sells some items at fixed Buy Now prices outside its auctions.
There are two auction formats. Live auctions are livestreamed with an auctioneer, and bids come by phone, absentee bid or online; in-person attendance is currently suspended. Timed online auctions take bids online only, and a late bid extends the lot's clock.
How buying works
- Register through each auction's page; approval typically takes about one business day. Phone and absentee bids must be in at least 24 hours before the lot sells.
- Buyer's premium: 26% is added to every winning bid, and VAT or sales tax may apply on top.
- Payment: bank transfer, cards, cash (with limits), or cryptocurrency for auctions. Payment plans of up to three months exist for lots with a hammer price of $2,000/£2,000 or more.
- Shipping: worldwide, only after the item is fully paid.
Good to know
- Bids are final and legally binding, even if made by accident.
- Production-used items come with a Propstore Certificate of Authenticity.
