Poulin Antiques & Auctions
Poulin Antiques & Auctions is an auction house in Fairfield, Maine, with two divisions: Firearms & Militaria, and Antiques, which covers fine art and antiques. Premier auctions run over several sessions with previews before the sale.
How buying works
- Ways to bid: in the gallery, by free absentee bid, by phone by prior arrangement, or online through PoulinLIVE and several third-party platforms. Not every lot is offered on every outside platform.
- Buyer's premium: the firearms base rate is 22%, reduced for in-house bidders paying by cash, check, wire or money order. Online bidding adds a fee, larger on third-party platforms. Maine sales tax applies unless exempt.
- Payment and pickup: invoices are emailed after the auction. Items must be paid in full before removal, and storage fees apply after 30 days.
- Shipping starts after full payment and paperwork; firearms ship with adult signature, and insurance is required unless waived.
Firearms rules
- Handgun buyers must be 21, long-gun buyers 18. Maine residents complete a 72-hour hold, Form 4473 and a NICS check; out-of-state handguns ship to the buyer's local FFL dealer.
- Antique firearms can be picked up on sale day.
