Pook & Pook

Pook & Pook is an auction house in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. Its Americana auctions offer antique furniture, fine art, folk art, oriental carpets, porcelain and period accessories, and it also holds decorative arts, coins and jewelry, and modern art and prints sales. Some sales are held in the gallery and others are online only.

How buying works

• Ways to bid: in person, absentee, by phone, online through PookLive, or on third-party platforms such as Bidsquare and Invaluable. Phone, absentee and internet bids should be registered well before the session.
• Registration: bring a driver's license and a major credit card to open an account.
• Buyer's premium: 27% in-house; third-party platforms set their own rates.
• Payment and pickup: everything must be paid for and picked up within 7 days of the auction. Payment is by cash, check, money order or wire; credit cards are accepted for established clients with a 3.5% surcharge.
