NameJet
NameJet is an online marketplace for aftermarket domain names: expiring and deleting domains, plus names offered by partners. Buyers can backorder a name, bid in auctions, buy some names instantly, or make offers.
How buying works
- Backorders: placing a backorder is free, and you pay only for names you win. If one backorder meets the minimum, the name goes to that buyer at the backorder price; if several do, a 3-day auction is held.
- Auctions: they last from one to 28 days. Some are open to everyone; private auctions are limited to people who backordered before the deadline. A bid in the final 5 minutes extends the auction by 5 minutes, and some auctions have a hidden reserve.
- Account: opening an account requires a valid credit card.
- Payment: due within 7 days of the auction closing (14 days for Verified Bidders). Purchases over $25,000 must be paid by wire. Late payment removes bidding privileges, and no extensions are given.
