Morphy Auctions
Morphy Auctions is a collectibles auction house founded in 1997 by Dan Morphy and based in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, with a second location in Las Vegas. Its divisions cover firearms; edged weapons, armor and militaria; advertising and general store items; automobilia and petroliana; coin-op and gambling machines; toys and pop culture; fine and decorative arts; and Western and Native American art.
Sales are held live at its Pennsylvania facility and online, and some sales run online only.
How buying works
- Register for each sale and agree to its terms and conditions; bidding is treated as a contract.
- Ways to bid: in person with a bid card, by phone, by absentee bid, or online through Morphy Live or third-party platforms, which add their own fees.
- Buyer's premium: 20% is added to every successful bid. Paying by credit card adds 3%.
- Payment: cards, checks, wire transfer, money order or cash. Live attendees can pay and collect the same day; online winners get an emailed invoice.
Good to know
- Live auctions have no Buy Now option.
- In a tie, phone bids beat internet and absentee bids, and floor bidders beat internet bidders.
