Loupe This is an online auction site for collectible watches. Each watch is vetted, inspected, photographed and described by its specialists before it is listed, and new timed auctions are added daily. Loupe This holds each watch during the sale and ships it to the winner.

How buying works

• Membership: free, but you must be signed in with payment details set up before you can bid. A Max Bid option bids for you up to your limit.
• Closing: a bid in the last two minutes extends the auction by two minutes, and the auction closes once two minutes pass with no new bids.
• Buyer's fee: 10% of the winning bid, charged automatically to your card (up to $10,000; any rest goes on the invoice). Bids over $10,000 also carry a temporary verification hold.
• Payment: the remaining balance is invoiced and must be paid within 7 days, by wire or by credit card up to $50,000 with a 3% surcharge.
• Shipping: the watch ships fully insured after payment; shipping, insurance and any required taxes are on the invoice, and buyers may owe local duties.
