K-BID
K-BID is an online auction venue based in Medina, Minnesota. Independent auction companies, called affiliates, contract with K-BID to run their own sales, often for sellers liquidating assets: equipment, estates, vehicles, collectibles and more. Most auctions are in Minnesota, with others across the Midwest, including Iowa, Wisconsin, the Dakotas, Nebraska and Missouri.
How buying works
- Registration is free. A valid credit card is required to bid, but it is used for identity verification, not to pay invoices.
- Bidding: every bid is a max bid, and each item gets a 3-minute extension after the last bid. Bids are binding and cannot be retracted.
- Buyer's premium: typically 15% for personal property, capped at $1,500 per item, though it can vary by auction; real estate premiums are set per auction. Sales tax applies to the bid plus premium.
- Pickup: winners pay and remove items during the scheduled removal time. Shipping is offered only by some affiliates and costs extra.
Good to know
- Items are sold as is, where is; inspection dates are listed for each auction.
- Questions about a specific sale go to the affiliate that runs it.
