Julien's Auctions is an auction house in Gardena, California, that sells iconic artifacts and collections from artists, celebrities, estates and collectors. Its sales are largely entertainment and celebrity collections, including collections from music stars, Hollywood memorabilia, royal fashion and sports items. Sales run either as live auctions or as online-only auctions.

How buying works

• Registration: create an account, then register for each auction. A $1 card hold verifies the card, and bidders accept Julien's terms and conditions.
• Ways to bid: a maximum bid before the sale, online in the live bidding room, by phone through a Julien's representative, or in person with a paddle. In online-only sales, a bid in a lot's last minute resets its timer.
• Buyer's premium is charged on top of the hammer price, along with any sales tax.
• Payment is due within three days, or the card on file is charged. Credit cards carry a 2.5% processing fee; cryptocurrency, accepted for certain lots, carries 2%.
• Shipping is billed separately; the shipping partner sends a quote after the sale, or buyers can use their own shipper.
