GreatCollections
GreatCollections is an online marketplace operated by GreatCollections.com, LLC, whose terms cover coin and bullion purchases. Items are offered both in auctions and as fixed-price Buy Now listings, and its terms are governed by California law.
How buying works
- Winning: the winner pays one bid increment above the second-highest bid, as long as the minimum bid is met. Ties go to the earlier bid, and bids cannot be withdrawn.
- Buyer's fee: 10% per auction lot (minimum $5) when paying by check, eCheck or wire, or 12.5% when paying by PayPal or credit card. Fixed-price listings carry no buyer's fee.
- Payment: due within seven days of the auction ending or of a Buy Now commitment. Card and PayPal payments are limited to invoices under $10,000.
- Shipping: items ship to the address on file at published shipping rates, and invoices paid together can share shipping. Loss or damage claims must be made in writing within 30 days of the ship date.
