Gaston & Sheehan Auctioneers
Gaston & Sheehan Auctioneers runs an online auction site where registered bidders buy items under one set of site-wide terms. Those terms fall under Texas law, and disputes go to arbitration in Pflugerville, Texas.
How buying works
- Registration: bidders must accept the terms first and supply complete, accurate and current details; giving false information can lead to a permanent ban. Each bidder is responsible for all bids made with their bidder number and password.
- Bidding: a bid is a binding contract to buy and cannot be taken back. Sellers may refuse any bid, and items can be withdrawn from a sale.
- Condition: everything is sold as is, where is, with no warranties. Skipping an inspection is no basis for a refund or price change.
- Fees and payment: invoice totals include applicable sales tax and required fees. Payment is accepted by cash, cashier's check, money order, bank wire, or check with a letter of guarantee, and is due within four business days unless an auction says otherwise. Unpaid items are relisted.
- Pickup: buyers carry the risk once they pay and must remove items themselves by the posted dates. A $25 daily charge applies after the last removal date, and after ten days the item goes back to the seller.
