Fasig-Tipton

Fasig-Tipton is a Thoroughbred auction company headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, and operating since 1898. It holds sales in Lexington; Saratoga Springs, New York; Pomona, California; and in the Mid-Atlantic, where its sales grounds are at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium. Its calendar includes yearling sales, mixed sales and The November Sale, and Fasig-Tipton Digital runs online-only sales with timed closings.

How buying works

• Credit and registration: buyers apply for credit with a credit application, available as a PDF or for digital signature, and manage their account through the Client Portal.
• Agents: an agent authorization form lets another person act for a buyer in a sale.
• Bidding: in person at the sale, online at live auctions using its online bidding guide, or on the Digital platform.
• Rules and tax: every sale runs under Fasig-Tipton's Conditions of Sale, and a Kentucky sales and use tax exemption form is provided for qualifying buyers.
