EquipNet
EquipNet sells used manufacturing, laboratory and industrial equipment, much of it from facility closures and site clearances at pharmaceutical, biotech, medical-device and other companies. It serves industries including biopharmaceutical, chemical, semiconductor, food and beverage, personal care and solid-dose manufacturing, with listings in North America, Europe and other regions. It is headquartered in Canton, Massachusetts.
How buying works
- Three ways to buy: timed auctions, where the highest bidder wins at close; the MarketPlace, where listings can be negotiated with Make an Offer; and Own It Now, where the price drops in steps until the first buyer confirms.
- Registration: register on the site under your exact company name, then separately for each auction.
- Buyer's premium: MarketPlace purchases carry a standard, non-negotiable premium; auctions use a different structure, shown in EquipNet's example as 19%.
- Payment: electronic funds transfer preferred; U.S. invoices can also be paid by check or card.
- Shipping: the buyer pays logistics costs, and EquipNet's logistics team can coordinate pickup and shipping. Equipment is sold as is unless marked EquipNet Certified.
