DOTmed Auctions
DOTmed Auctions is the online auction section of DOTmed.com, a marketplace for medical equipment. Timed sales offer hospital and clinic surplus such as imaging parts and coils, probes, exam tables, medical supplies and office furniture, often grouped into multi-lot auctions at a single facility.
Auctions are either managed by DOTmed, which runs the sale and collects payment for the seller, or self-managed by the seller, with DOTmed mainly making the introduction.
How buying works
- Approved bidders only: bidders must be registered users and become approved, either by giving an accepted credit card (instant approval) or through pre-approval.
- Pre-approval: hospitals, healthcare institutions and parties known to DOTmed can request it; others apply to become "DOTmed Certified" with a bank reference. Processing normally takes 1 to 3 business days.
- Payment: in managed auctions the winner pays DOTmed as set out in the auction description. A bidder who fails to pay is disqualified and may have their card charged.
- As is: unless the description says otherwise, items are sold as is without warranty.
- Fees are set out in each auction's notice, not on the general terms page.
