How buying works

• Ways to bid: in person at the gallery, by absentee bid form, by phone, or online through Brunk Live, Bidsquare or LiveAuctioneers. Online bidders should sign up at least 24 hours ahead, and first-time online bidders are capped at $25,000 in total bids.
• Buyer's premium: 25% for in-person, phone, absentee and Brunk Live bids; 28% on Bidsquare and 30% on LiveAuctioneers. Paying by card adds 3%.
• Payment: phone, absentee and online winners pay within five business days. First-time buyers pay by wire or cashier's check, and international buyers by wire.
• Pickup and shipping: items not collected within ten business days are charged storage. Buyers pay shipping costs in advance and arrange transport for large items.
