How buying works
- Registration: free online registration with a government-issued ID and evidence of financial capability. Bidding works through the website or the iOS and Android apps.
- Buyer's premium at U.S. auctions: 12% of the first $250,000 of the hammer price and 10% above that for cars; 25% for other lots. European and Global Icons sales use different rates.
- Payment: at U.S. auctions, due by 5 p.m. ET on the first business day after the sale, by wire transfer or certified or cashier's check.
- Removal: U.S. lots must be removed by the payment deadline, or Broad Arrow may store them at $50 a day at the buyer's expense.
