BidRL
BidRL is an online auction marketplace that liquidates returns, overstock and warehouse-damaged goods for retailers and manufacturers. Its auction locations are mostly in California, including Sacramento, Elk Grove, Modesto, Turlock, Folsom and Tulare, with San Antonio also listed.
How buying works
- Registration: free, but bidders need an account and a valid credit card on file, which is charged only when authorized.
- Bidding: bidders enter at least the minimum bid shown; a higher amount sets a proxy bid. Bids can be raised while an item is open.
- Fees: some auctions add a buyer's premium, posted when it applies and added before sales tax; some charge a convenience fee for online card payment. Sales tax is collected by region, though not on titled vehicles.
- Payment: an emailed invoice must be paid in full within the auction's payment period, usually two business days, by card, cashier's check or wire.
- Pickup: items are released for removal once payment is verified.
