Bid13
Bid13 is an online storage auction site with listings across the United States and Canada, searchable by state, province or city, with email alerts for new auctions nearby. Most sales are lien auctions of units abandoned by tenants; others are non-lien auctions, manager's specials and charity auctions of a facility's own property.
How buying works
- Account: free, with no monthly fees, but verification is required before bidding. Every bid is a max bid, and a bid in the final five minutes adds one minute to the clock.
- Buyer's premium: 15% of the winning bid, charged automatically to the card on file and due online within four hours of winning.
- At the facility: call to arrange pickup, bring the emailed confirmation code and photo ID, and pay the unit price plus any sales tax and a refundable cleaning deposit.
- Removal: empty the unit within the time the facility allows. Leaving it uncleaned forfeits the deposit and gets the account banned.
