Barrett-Jackson
Barrett-Jackson runs collector-car auctions and also sells automobilia. The company is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, where its flagship auction is held at WestWorld, and it holds regular auctions in Palm Beach, Florida, and Las Vegas, Nevada. Its auctions have aired on national television since the 1990s. Many vehicles sell with no reserve, meaning they go to the highest bidder.
How buying works
- Registration: bidders register for upcoming auctions through the site, and some paperwork can be mailed to the Bidder Department in Scottsdale. Registered bidders get perks such as preferred seating.
- Ways to bid: in person, online from any device, by telephone with the auctioneer relaying your bids, or through a representative bidding on your behalf.
Good to know
- Charity cars are auctioned with all fees and commissions waived, so the full hammer price goes to the charity.
