Alderfer Auction

Alderfer Auction is a Pennsylvania auction, appraisal and estate sale company with an auction center in Hatfield and offices in Doylestown and Wayne. Its sales include monthly jewelry auctions, art, firearms and ammunition, coins, home decor and furnishings, estate sales and real estate. Most current auctions are online-only timed sales; phone and absentee bids are also taken.

How buying works

• Buyer's premium: set for each auction and shown in that sale's details. Winning through a third-party bidding platform adds a 5% surcharge, and Pennsylvania residents pay 6% sales tax unless exempt.
• Payment: cards, PayPal (not for firearms, militaria and sporting sales), wire, money order, cash or check. Paying by card or PayPal adds 3%. Online wins are due immediately.
• Pickup or shipping must happen within 15 business days of the auction close, after which storage is charged daily. Firearms and ammunition ship in-house; other items go through a third-party shipper.

• Items are sold as is, where is. Previews of select auctions are held in person, and condition reports can be requested by email.
• Wine and alcohol are pickup only.
