AirSpace Auctions
AirSpace Auctions is an online auction platform for aircraft. Its listings are mostly general-aviation airplanes such as Cessna, Cirrus, Mooney and Beechcraft singles and twins, along with experimental and light-sport aircraft, and its listings can span other classes including jets and helicopters.
How buying works
- Bidders must be 18 or older, register with a government-issued ID, create a bidder profile and sign the current terms.
- A deposit is generally required to bid, paid by wire or a credit card hold to escrow. The amount varies by auction and is shown in the listing. Registrations are tied to a specific aircraft but can be transferred.
- A buyer's premium is added to the winning bid; its amount is announced in each listing and shown before a bid is placed.
- The balance, less the deposit, is paid through a third-party escrow company, which also handles title transfer and FAA filings. Unsuccessful bidders' wire deposits are refunded within a few days.
Good to know
- No-reserve aircraft are marked in the listing title; otherwise reserves are not shown.
- Bidders are encouraged to inspect an aircraft before bidding.
